PitchPulse V1.0 brings the project's core systems into one stable release: historical drafting, squad chemistry, player-card collecting, football quizzes, casual Arena, competitive Ranked, seasonal progression, clubs and cloud accounts.
A player can appear in more than one historical context when the game uses a different peak or tournament era.
National-team and club pools power Draft, Catalog and several Quiz Lab modes.
Common through Ultra Icon, using original PitchPulse ratings rather than official EA SPORTS FC ratings.
Draft decisions matter
Every roll is a squad-building decision. A 115-rated attacker is not automatically the best choice if your formation still needs a goalkeeper, centre-back or full-back. Position compatibility, chemistry, budget and bench flexibility all shape the final XI.

Build, compare and test historical football squads
PitchPulse is a browser football strategy game built around one question: how would players from different eras fit together in the same squad? The game combines a historical player database, a fantasy rating scale, squad chemistry, tactical choices and short knowledge modes. It is designed as an original game experience rather than a live scores, betting or official ratings service.
Draft and card system
Each draft begins with a formation and a limited coin budget. A roll reveals a historical country or club era and a set of player cards. You choose one card, then decide whether that player belongs in the starting XI or on the bench. Position compatibility matters: a natural centre-back is more useful in defence than a star attacker forced into the wrong role.

Casual Arena is for practice and quick football knowledge duels. Ranked is the competitive mode where persistent RP changes. This separation keeps practice sessions low-pressure while still giving competitive players a clear progression path through divisions and seasons.

PitchPulse ratings are an original in-game scale and are not official EA SPORTS FC, FIFA or club ratings. Higher tiers represent exceptional historical peaks inside the game system. Rarity affects presentation and collection value, while a player's attributes, positions and squad fit still matter when building a useful XI.

The game is built around decisions rather than passive screens. A strong draft is not simply a list of the highest numbers. You have to balance the budget, cover every position, improve chemistry and keep enough flexibility on the bench. In tournament simulations, team strength is only one input: chemistry, tactics, form, fatigue and the opponent all affect the match model. That means a weaker squad can still win, while a poorly balanced star team can fail.
The football quiz modes use the same historical database in a different way. Who Am I?, Higher or Lower, Nation Quiz and Career Path are designed to make the database useful beyond card collecting. They are practice modes, so they do not award persistent Ranked RP. Players who want competitive progression can move to Ranked after learning the systems.
What the historical database represents
PitchPulse uses curated historical player-season entries for gameplay. The database is not presented as a complete official archive and it is not a live transfer feed. A card represents a particular footballing era or tournament context selected for the game. The goal is to create interesting comparisons between eras while being clear that the ratings are fictional gameplay values inspired by historical performance.

Roll a historic national-team or club era, reveal football cards, build a position-compatible squad and enter a competition. Your team rating, chemistry, tactics, opponent strength and match context feed a probabilistic match engine — so favorites are more likely to win without making every result predictable.
